Leica X Typ 113 18441 Review Video First Look With Good and Bad Up Close Look

Leica X Typ 113 review
The first look at the new and gorgeous Leica X Typ 113. This camera is pretty, especially in silver/brown. One of the most beautiful smaller camera ever made. The Leica X Typ 113 picks up where the X1 and X2 left off with a faster Summilux lens (f/1.7 aperture) and this was the main weakness with the old X1 and X2, the slow f/2.8 lens.

Even though it’s a compact camera, the X (Typ 113) is on the large side. It measures 2.9 by 5.2 by 3.1 inches (HWD) and weighs about 1.1 pound. Both the new X and the X-E feature prime lenses that cover a 35mm wide-angle field of view in full-frame terms, but the X’s lens captures more light and adds noticeable depth.

Pros
Prime lens with f/1.7 aperture. APS-C image sensor. Sharp rear display. Supports add-on EVF. Strong manual-focus experience. Detailed images at high ISOs. Sturdy build. Includes Adobe Photoshop Lightroom license.

Cons
Expensive. Autofocus is on the slow side. Tends to overexpose Raw images. Doesn’t support true full manual control. No Wi-Fi.
