Post focus is a new option with some Panasonic Cameras. This allows users to select in-focus area even after shooting your subject. The how to video below explains how this is best used.
The Panasonic LUMIX GX85 and GX80 come with the Post Focus function that gives you the ability to select in-focus area even after shooting. This lets you get multiple shots with different focus points with a single shutter release to choose from. This can be very helpful in situations like macro photography where severe focusing is required or for changing expressions by changing focused subject. This function has been developed by combining the DFD (Depth From Defocus) auto focus technology that enables measuring the distance to the subject and the 4K technology.
The post focus operation is quite simple and easy to use. You shoot an image in a Post Focus mode and touch on the point where you want to set focus while playing it back. The camera saves that focus point and produces the image you liked best.
