The Panasonic 25mm F/1.7 is a fast lens with an angle of view of a classical full frame 50 mm. This is a quality Micro 4/3 lens. Panasonic is now producing more affordable lenses than Olympus.

In 2009 they released the Panasonic G 20 mm f/1.7 ASPH pancake which could be used as a bit wider ‘standard’ lens without any problems. In 2011 due to the cooperation with the Leica company their offer was enlarged by the Panasonic Leica DG Summilux 25 mm f/1.4 ASPH. Olympus entered that focal lengths segment only in 2014, by presenting the M.Zuiko Digital 25 mm f/1.8 model.
