How Sharp Is The Nikon Nikkor 200-500mm f5.6 And How Does It Compare To Other Lenses.
Being a F5.6 aperture lens it was rather compact and light weight (4.8lbs). Still it feels like a really solid built lens. The 200-500mm is not your typical action photography lens with an aperture of 5.6, but for most of the stuff I will shoot, the lens works great.
Positives: Light weight, solid built, handy range, super sharp, precise focus, impressive VR and good price.
Negatives: Slightly off balance at 500mm, flare when shooting backlit and a bit slow in low light.
